During my recent transit through Kathmandu, I had the opportunity to stay at Kathmandu Home Stay & Hostel. The database provided me with all the necessary information about the accommodation. I found it particularly convenient that the nearest airport, Tribhuvan, was only 4 km away. This made my journey to and from the homestay hassle-free, saving me both time and money. the database mentioned that the homestay is located 15 km from Kathmandu, which allowed me to easily explore the city during my short stay.

The database warned about the incessant barking from a nearby dog colony at night.

I got great value for my money with clean and spacious rooms at Home Stay. The location was peaceful and away from the crowded Thamel area. The staff treated me like family and even helped with storing my luggage during my trek.

More variety in breakfast items would have made it even better.

The location of the home stay was perfect, as it was nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet still close to everything. The place was spotless and conveniently located near the city center, providing us with everything we required; the staff was trustworthy and extremely friendly, while the area surrounding the accommodation was peaceful and tranquil, with a delightful restaurant along the route.

The room was amazing with a fully equipped private bathroom that had a refreshing shower and comfy slippers. I loved the balcony that had a private entrance and a cozy seating area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view.

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the balcony. But hey, that's just me.

Had a fantastic Xmas stay at this amazing place! the hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel like part of their family. the clean and comfortable rooms were a pleasant surprise, not to mention the hot showers and delicious breakfast provided. the location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. this place exceeded all my expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Although the location was convenient, the area could be a bit noisy at times. the shared bathroom could use some improvement as the flushing mechanism was not reliable.

I stayed at this hostel for a month and had a great time! The family was warm and welcoming, making me feel at home. We had fun nights playing chess and guitar, even had a rooftop BBQ. The free breakfast was big and nice, and they offered affordable lunch and dinner. The location was perfect, in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the touristic center. If I visit Nepal again, I'd definitely come back!

During our Christmas stay, we really appreciated the warm hospitality from the family. They were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel like part of their own family. The breakfast provided was delicious and generous, giving us a great start to our day. the location of the hostel was perfect as it offered a peaceful and quiet environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There were a few aspects that we didn't enjoy during our stay. the sound of echoing corridors was quite bothersome, especially when other guests were passing by.

Mind-blowing hospitality, super clean and comfortable rooms, delicious vegan meals, hot showers, helpful and friendly hosts, free tea and coffee.
